According to TSN.ua: An explosion occurred in an apartment on the evening of January 29 in a multi-story building at 1 Serzha Lifarya Street in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. The blast was caused by the detonation of a camping-style gas canister. The force of the explosion blew out a window frame from one of the apartments, but no injuries were reported.
Patrol police, firefighters, and medical personnel responded quickly to the scene. The individual who was inside the apartment at the time of the explosion survived and did not require hospitalization. Furthermore, no threat to the lives of other residents in the building was recorded. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the canister from a portable camping stove had exploded and assured the public that the situation was under control. Such portable stoves are sometimes used indoors during power outages, which are not uncommon in the city.
