According to ТСН: The extension of deferment for educators must be initiated by the leadership of the educational institution. Only after this can the deferment for the teacher be automatically extended for a specified period.

Who initiates the extension of deferment

Lawyers received a request regarding the automation of the process for granting deferments to teachers. Lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan explained that it all starts with the confirmation by the head of the educational institution of the existence of conditions for the deferment of the educator through the integrated system.

“Checking the mark means that the director of the general secondary education institution confirms the compliance of the educational worker with the requirements of the law,” emphasized the lawyer.

Main criteria for the educator

Aivazyan cited the main criteria that the educator must adhere to:

• the worker is an educational worker of a general secondary education institution;
• he is employed in the institution as his main place of work;
• has an educational load of at least 0.75 of a full-time position.

“After this confirmation, the educational worker is automatically included in the relevant register of the Ministry of Defense for the renewal of the deferment,” summarized the lawyer.
