From 2026: One-time assistance at the birth of a child will increase to 50 thousand hryvnias.
According to ТСН: From January 1, 2026, there will be changes in child benefits. One-time assistance at the birth of a child will amount to 50,000 hryvnias.
This information is confirmed by Law No. 4681-IX.

One-time cash assistance for the birth of the first and each subsequent child — 50,000 hryvnias;

“Schoolchild Package” — one-time payment of 5,000 hryvnias for 1st grade students.

It was previously reported that a certain category of people may need to return funds for children.
State funds may need to be returned by those who did not report changes in their property status. This particularly concerns large families where one of the parents secured a well-paid job but did not declare it.
Thus, changes in the system of child benefits aim to support families and improve conditions for raising children. The new program not only provides financial assistance at the birth of a child but also ensures support at various stages of a child's development, especially during preschool education and school development. This creates better conditions for raising the younger generation in Ukraine.
