According to ТСН: Chernihiv region has been undergoing mass attacks from Russia since yesterday. The enemy is using a variety of weapons, including strike drones. 26 populated areas of the region were hit.

Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Chaus reported on the situation in the region.

Consequences of the attacks in Chernihiv

Several explosions occurred in Chernihiv. Two of them happened on the outskirts of the city, where a kamikaze drone damaged a private house. Another explosion was the result of a 'Geran' hitting one of the local enterprises, leading to the roof of a warehouse catching fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. Another drone hit the energy infrastructure.

Shelled areas in Chernihiv and Koryukivka districts

In the Chernihiv district, the 'Geran' hit a residential building, causing a fire that firefighters quickly extinguished. Semenivka was also hit: 'lightning' struck the homes of local residents, damaging about ten buildings, one of which was completely destroyed. A drone also hit a civilian vehicle, resulting in injuries to a 48-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman.

The consequences of the attacks in the Koryukivka district were also significant. An FPV drone damaged a residential house, a passenger car, and a minibus. In another populated area, an explosion from a UAV partially destroyed another residence and vehicle.

Attacks on Kyiv

It is also worth noting that overnight and in the morning, the Russian army launched attacks on Kyiv, using drones, missiles of various types, and aeroballistic 'Kinzhal' missiles. As a result of these shelling, at least two people were killed, and another 29 were injured, including a child.

Chernihiv region has once again become the epicenter of hostilities. The attacks have affected not only civilian infrastructure but also residential buildings, underscoring the seriousness of the situation in the region. The further development of events will remain under the close control of local authorities and rescue services, who continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and ensure the safety of residents.
