Kharkiv Apartment Block Set Ablaze by Enemy Kamikaze Drone.
Attack in Kharkiv
According to TSN.ua: On February 3, 2023, a hostile kamikaze drone strike ignited a fire in a multi-story residential building in Kharkiv's Saltivka district. The blaze engulfed the top three floors of the five-story building, causing significant damage. A 57-year-old man was injured in the attack. This incident is part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian civilian areas since the full-scale invasion began.
Emergency response teams from Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene to manage the aftermath and provide aid. In a separate but related development, it was reported that key energy infrastructure facilities, including the Kharkiv TEC-5 power plant, were also damaged during a series of mass shelling attacks that night.
Official Response
Details of the event are still being investigated, as noted by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that an enemy "Shahed" drone hit the apartment block, causing the fire.
