According to ТСН: A serious accident occurred on the heating network on Lobanovskyi Avenue in Kyiv, resulting in several injuries. In particular, a 16-year-old girl fell into a pit of boiling water due to erosion of the soil.

Actions of services and consequences of the accident

According to Kyiv police information on Telegram, “the head of the municipal enterprise division, while managing emergency recovery works, contrary to safety regulations, did not ensure proper and complete fencing of the dangerous zone and did not restrict access for unauthorized persons to the accident site.”

The girl suffered burns on 73% of her body and was urgently sent to Germany for specialized treatment. Additionally, two other individuals sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity: a 12-year-old child and a 53-year-old woman.

Possible legal consequences

Under current legislation, the official responsible for the situation may face up to 8 years of imprisonment.

It is worth noting that earlier there were reports of an incident where a 16-year-old girl fell into a pit of boiling water formed due to a burst heating network on Lobanovskyi Avenue.

This incident underscores the importance of adhering to safety regulations at municipal infrastructure sites. The lack of proper fencing of dangerous zones can lead to horrific consequences, as was the case here. The situation remains under the control of law enforcement agencies, who are conducting an investigation.
