Reaction of the President of Ukraine to Russia's Strikes
According to inkorr.com: Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address discussed the recent strikes by Russian forces on Ukraine, according to information from 'Glavkom'.
The head of state reported on drone strikes in Dnipro, as well as the restoration of a substation in Chernihiv after the attack. 'In the east of the country – Kharkiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region – there are constant air threats. Kharkiv was attacked. In Chernihiv, the substation was damaged, it is being restored. In Sumy, Russian troops killed an entire family – a woman, a man, and two children – four and seven years old, and the girl was pregnant. This was a strike by a Russian drone,' said the president.
Zelensky assured that Ukraine will respond to Russia for their strikes and Ukrainian defenders will continue to attack Russian logistics and fuel infrastructure.
The president emphasized: 'We will destroy Russian logistics and fuel infrastructure, everything that contributes to the Russian war. The world knows: only Russia does not allow the war to end. We are receiving signals from the USA and other partners about the need to pressure Russia to start real diplomatic negotiations and achieve peace. Without strong pressure from the international community, Russian aggression will not stop; on the contrary, it will intensify.'
It was also reported that Russian troops struck Dnipro using drones, resulting in injuries and fatalities. Additionally, the occupation forces of the Russian Federation shelled a residential building in the village of Chernichchyna in the Sumy region, leading to the death of an entire family.
Summary: President Zelensky expressed concern over the constant Russian strikes on Ukrainian territories, noting that all possible efforts are being made to protect the country. He emphasized the importance of pressure on Russia to stop its aggression and start peace negotiations, highlighting that the international aspect of this issue is extremely important for achieving stability in the region.
