Zelensky allowed the Armed Forces to buy pickups: what is the simplified procurement procedure.
According to inkorr.com: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky allowed the military to purchase pickups through a simplified procedure. This decision was announced during a closed meeting with media representatives attended by 'Glavkom'.
“Previously, there was a closed opportunity to buy pickups. We opened this opportunity for them, we are providing money... That is, we are no longer looking at brigades, but so that each combat battalion receives them. The brigade commander looks inside his brigade, if, for example, he has four battalions performing tasks now, and tomorrow he has added unmanned systems battalions, – we provide 7-8 million hryvnias separately for each battalion every month. Now we have opened opportunities for them and give additional money to buy pickups separately. There is an opportunity to buy not only new ones, new ones are not needed, but also used ones, within the state. That is, today they have their hands untied,” explained Zelensky.
Changes in the military equipment procurement process came as a result of the president's directive. Now the military can buy pickups and other transport equipment faster and easier, which will contribute to increasing the defensive capability and effectiveness of military units.
The official website of the Ministry of Defense published the algorithm for purchasing pickups through a simplified procedure. In addition, Zelensky commented on the situation in the Pokrovsky direction and the active actions in the Kupyansk area.
This step by the president emphasizes the desire to provide the army with necessary resources faster and to adapt the military structure to modern challenges. Thanks to the simplified procedure, battalions will be able to respond quickly to the needs of the front, which will directly impact their effectiveness and mobility in combat conditions.
