Ukrainian military will receive important assistance from the USA
The latest aid package from the USA for Ukraine includes 212 Stryker armored vehicles, Forbes reports. This is significant support for Ukrainian military in opposing the Russian army.
Currently, there are thousands of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region, and it is expected that in the coming days they will engage in battle to strengthen the Russian army.
According to the analyst, the new delivery of Strykers will increase the number of these armored vehicles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to 400, considering the loss of only two dozen vehicles in battle. Typically, Ukraine distributes them among assault brigades, allocating 31 vehicles per brigade.
«Previous deliveries of Strykers were sufficient to equip the 80th and 82nd assault brigades, which entered Kursk in August. But the third assault brigade, the 95th, has yet to receive these machines», the analyst notes. He emphasizes that equipping this brigade is important for ensuring equal power with the other two brigades.
The conditions of acute military personnel shortage make the new Strykers the only assistance that Ukrainian forces will receive in the Kursk region, where battles are taking place. These vehicles are ideal for urban combat and quick advances on roads. Besides speed and maneuverability, they are an effective surveillance and fire platform.
It was previously reported that the USA will provide Ukraine with $425 million worth of weapons as part of a new military aid package.
Also, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed the issues of the use of strike capabilities by Ukrainian units and strengthening air defense.
