The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced that the military command has started the transition to a corps structure for managing troops. He stated this in his address.

Oleksandr Syrskyi also noted that the strengthening of units of the Ground Forces, Assault Forces, Marine Corps, and Unmanned Systems is ongoing, with an increase in the number of unmanned systems.

According to Syrskyi, in January, the number of units being restored for combat readiness has increased, and plans for the upcoming period have been developed.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also noted that the situation at the front remains complex, but the Defense Forces are adequately resisting the enemy. The main efforts are focused on holding positions, preventing the enemy's advance, preparing military personnel, and developing the unmanned component.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced organizational changes in the Armed Forces. He plans to present the details of these changes to the public next week.

Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, where the formation of corps within the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discussed. The President emphasized that the army will continue to strengthen, and the formation of combat brigades and modernization of the army system are non-negotiable.

In addition, Oleksandr Syrskyi introduced the new commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Khortytsia' - Major General Mykhailo Drapaty.
