The Armed Forces of Ukraine pushed the Russians back from the front lines in the Kupiansk direction.
The Ukrainian military managed to repel the Russian occupiers from the front lines in the Kupiansk direction. They successfully countered the advance of Russian troops in three localities: Nova Kruglyakivka, Petropavlivka, and Zahryzove. According to information from the military grouping 'Khortytsia', the Russians attempted to attack but suffered losses and retreated under the fire of Ukrainian forces.
Currently, the Russian command is trying to force the occupiers to regain their lost positions through threats of execution. Fighting is also ongoing in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions, where the occupiers are trying to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy is also concentrating its forces in the Siversk and Lyman directions for future assault actions.
The situation in the Pokrovsk direction is even more complicated, as the Russians attacked the positions of the Armed Forces at once in eight localities.
In the last day, Russian invaders carried out 70 air strikes, using 106 KAB. They also deployed 833 kamikaze drones and conducted 4767 shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian military and localities. In total, there were 94 combat clashes since the beginning of the previous day.
Ukrainian defenders continue to successfully resist the enemy's attempts to advance deeper into our territory. They inflict effective fire damage and exhaust the opponent across the entire front.
Reforms in the Armed Forces
On February 3, the Chief Commander of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced the start of organizational reforms in the Armed Forces aimed at transitioning to a 'corpus structure'. According to an analysis by the American Institute for the Study of War, this is an important step for Ukraine.
The use of corps structures for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not a novelty, as they have been using corps since 2023. Ukraine has already created the ninth and tenth army corps and transferred the reserve corps to the 11th army corps in 2023. Now Ukraine is forming the fourth army corps.
