After the attacks by the Russian Federation on Odesa region: Moldova imposed restrictions at two checkpoints with Ukraine

According to ТСН: Two checkpoints on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border have switched to a special mode of operation due to the attacks by Russian drones in the southern Odesa region.

Exit Restrictions

The Border Police of Moldova reported that exit from the country through the "Tudora" checkpoint towards Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in Odesa region is possible without restrictions. However, movement towards Odesa is allowed only for Ukrainian citizens and vehicles weighing up to 7 tons.

The border guards urge citizens to avoid trips towards Odesa if possible.

Conditions for exiting through another checkpoint

Through the "Palanka - Maiaky-Udobne" checkpoint, exit from Moldova is allowed only for Ukrainian citizens, provided that the weight of the vehicle does not exceed 7 tons. There are no such restrictions towards Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.

It was previously reported that the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service explained why Russia cannot use the Transnistrian route for aggression. It was also noted that after the strike on the bridge near the village of Maiaky at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, temporary movement restrictions were imposed in the Odesa region.

Thus, the situation at the border poses certain challenges for citizens planning trips. It is particularly important to follow the recommendations of the border guards and check the current movement conditions, as safety remains a priority in these turbulent times.
