Fight with Shooting in the Center of Kyiv: Police Opened a Criminal Case.

According to ТСН: The police opened a criminal case regarding a mass brawl that occurred at night in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, near Bessarabskaya Square, during curfew.

According to the Kyiv police, around midnight, a verbal dispute arose between two groups of people, which escalated into a confrontation on the street, during which gunfire was heard.

“Police identified two active participants in the conflict, and investigators are currently working with them. Other participants in the incident are being identified, as well as all the circumstances and facts of the shooting.”

Data about this incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism.

Social media users report that more than a dozen foreigners participated in the large conflict. Eyewitnesses claim that the confrontation lasted about an hour and was accompanied by gunfire. There are also reports of injuries among the local media, including a serviceman.

It is worth noting that earlier, in a car of the blue line of the Kyiv metro at the 'Taras Shevchenko' station, a young man got into a fight with a passenger, spraying pepper gas from a canister. The police detained the offender.

This incident highlights the rise of violence in the capital, which causes concern among residents. The police continue to work on the investigation to identify all participants in the conflict and prevent similar incidents in the future. The situation will remain under the control of the relevant authorities.
