After the massive blackout: electricity restored to critical infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to ТСН: The critical infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region, except for Pavlograd, has restored electricity supply after a recent strike on the power system that caused a massive blackout.
State of Electricity Supply
The General Director of Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, noted that 'all critical infrastructure has been powered, except for the city of Pavlograd, where there is a constant alert.' He also reported that electricity returned to another 100,000 consumers, and this elicited a positive response from him: 'The dynamics are encouraging.'
Earlier, he clarified that power was restored for 200,000 consumers out of 600,000 who were left without electricity due to the Russian attack. It is worth noting that on the evening of January 7, as a result of the Russian assault, the Dnipropetrovsk region was almost completely deprived of power.
Emergency Situation in Dnipro
The mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, reported that the city has entered a national-level emergency situation due to mass shelling and large-scale power outages.
It is important to emphasize that restoring electricity supply is critically important for normalizing life in the region. However, the situation in Pavlograd remains alarming, as dangerous actions continue there, complicating the energy restoration. Local authorities are working to address the issues to restore comfort and safety to residents as soon as possible.
