Budanov on mobilization: We ourselves ruined its media campaign.
According to ТСН: Kyrilo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, emphasized that Ukraine's main mistake was the 'utterly lost media campaign' regarding mobilization.
According to him, one of the key mistakes in the war with Russia lies in this campaign, which, in his opinion, contributed to the 'escalation' of mobilization issues.
'We all blame the Russian Federation, but their influence is not as great as everyone thinks. This was all done from here. Sometimes consciously, due to the ambitions of certain people. Sometimes thoughtlessly. We ourselves ruined our mobilization. No matter what others say to contradict it, that's not true. We ruined it ourselves,' emphasized the head of the GUR.
Strengthening mobilization and future forecasts
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on the strengthening of mobilization measures and recruitment in response to the advance of the Russian forces. He noted that the term of basic general military training has been extended to 51 days, and improvements to training centers are planned.
Military analyst Ivan Tymočko believes that by 2026, mobilization in Ukraine may face new challenges. According to him, during the upcoming mobilization, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be forced to recruit more personnel than is currently happening.
These statements reflect the serious challenges Ukraine faces in the ongoing war. The focus on the media campaign and mobilization highlights the importance of information strategy in ensuring the country's defense capability. Given the changes in the training of servicemen and the growing demand for human resources, Ukraine needs to concentrate efforts on adapting to new realities.
