Russian shelling caused mass train delays: which routes are delayed by 6 hours

According to ТСН: As of Monday morning, numerous trains in Ukraine are delayed, some by several hours. The reason is the Russian shelling, which led to the power outage of the contact network in Dnipropetrovsk region.

This situation is reported by the press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia".

“Reserve locomotives have already been deployed, railway energy specialists are gradually restoring electric traction service, but delays are still being experienced”
.

Train delays

The following routes are experiencing delays:

  • No. 119 Dnipro - Holm (+3 hours);

  • No. 120 Holm - Dnipro (+3:40);

  • No. 75/76 Kyiv - Kryvyi Rih (+4:25);

  • No. 37/38 Kyiv - Zaporizhzhia (+4:10);

  • No. 79/80 Dnipro - Lviv (+6:30).

It is noted that some suburban trains will also be running with delays of 3 to 4 hours, especially towards Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih:

  • No. 6008 Pyatyhatky-Dnipro is delayed by 3 hours;

  • No. 6501 Pyatyhatky-Kryvyi Rih - delay of 4 hours;

  • No. 6010 Pyatyhatky - Dnipro-Glavnyi departed with a delay of 3 hours;

  • No. 6503 Pyatyhatky - Rokuvata - delay of 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Changes in routes

The channel “Ukrzaliznytsia: suburban trains” reports changes in the routes of suburban services. For example, No. 6005 and No. 6018 will operate on the route Dnipro - Pyatyhatky (instead of Dnipro Glavnyi - Post Spisannya).

There are also delays of suburban services in Odesa region:

  • No. 6342/6341 Karolino-Bugaz-Odesa departed from Akkarzh station with a delay of 50 minutes;

  • No. 6253 Podilsk-Odesa-Glavna departed from Odesa-Zastava 1 with a delay of 33 minutes;

  • No. 6401 Kolosivka-Odesa-Glavna - delay of 2 hours.

Remember, on Saturday there was an emergency situation on the railway. International trains of “UZ” were evacuated due to reports of “bomb threats”, including trains Przemysl-Kyiv and Kyiv-Uzhhorod / Kyiv-Budapest.

This situation with train delays demonstrates how important the stability of railway traffic is in the face of military challenges. The restoration of work by energy specialists and the use of reserve locomotives should help reduce inconveniences for passengers and return railway transport to its usual schedule.
