Court found the pimp guilty but released her from prison: details of a unique verdict.

According to ТСН: The Sloviansk city district court of the Donetsk region issued a ruling regarding a local resident who was caught organizing prostitution for profit. The woman acted as an intermediary in providing paid sexual services via the internet.

The investigation established that around summer 2024, the woman decided to earn income from organizing intimate services. She posted advertisements for these services on a specialized internet resource.

"The woman began spreading information on the internet resource about the possibility of her friends providing sexual services for monetary compensation," the case materials state.

Law enforcement documented violations during a special investigative experiment in April and May 2025. A man, acting undercover, used the woman's services three times, transferring 5,000 hryvnias each time to the specified bank cards. He then went to the apartment where he received intimate services. This demonstrated the defendant's activity as an intermediary ("prostitution for profit").

Acknowledgment of guilt and verdict

The woman was accused of committing a criminal offense under part 2 of Article 302 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (prostitution for profit).

At the court hearing, the defendant fully acknowledged her guilt and confirmed that she indeed facilitated "voluntary communication and committing lascivious acts between strangers for profit."

The Sloviansk city district court sentenced the woman to 3 (three) years of imprisonment.

However, considering Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court concluded that the rehabilitation of the defendant is possible without isolation from society. The woman was released from serving her main sentence with probation set for 1 (one) year.

This case highlights the issues of prostitution and human trafficking in Ukraine. Despite the assigned punishment, one of the important tasks remains the prevention of similar crimes and the protection of the rights of individuals who become victims of exploitation. This issue requires constant attention from government bodies and society as a whole.
