DTEK explained why there is more light at night: the reason is energy consumption.
According to ТСН: The DTEK company explained why light is provided more at night than during the day. The reason is that the level of electricity consumption varies significantly at different times of the day.
According to DTEK, electricity consumption decreases significantly at night. After midnight, most industrial enterprises and offices are not operating, and people are sleeping. This allows for a reduced load on the energy system and helps avoid power outages.
Peak consumption during the day
In the morning and evening, on the contrary, peak consumption is observed. At this time, people actively use electrical appliances, which leads to increased load on the system. Therefore, during these hours, more disconnections have to be applied to maintain balance and avoid emergencies.
“Therefore, night is the time when more light is available for a larger number of people. Day and evening - every kilowatt counts,” said DTEK.
Earlier, two cities were left without electricity due to Russian strikes. This concerns Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region.
At present, there is no information regarding the timing of power restoration or the extent of infrastructure damage.
In the context of the energy crisis the country is experiencing, this explanation from DTEK emphasizes the importance of rational energy use. Reducing consumption during peak hours can help avoid new outages and stabilize the energy system. And in situations where electricity supply is disrupted due to external factors, a prompt response regarding the restoration of energy infrastructure remains crucial.
