According to ТСН: Today, it is possible to receive a payment of 50 thousand hryvnias for a child. To do this, you need to contact the Pension Fund or submit an application through the Diia service.

As reported by the Deputy Minister of Social Policy Liudmyla Shemelinets, there are two options for obtaining this amount:

"To obtain 50 thousand hryvnias, you need to either contact the Pension Fund with the appropriate application or submit documents through the 'eMaljatko' service in the Diia," she said.

All mothers who gave birth before December 31 inclusive will receive 41 thousand 280 hryvnias under the old procedure.

Parents of children who will not be one year old by the beginning of 2026 can also receive an additional payment of 7 thousand hryvnias.

We remind you that starting January 1, 2026, a new child birth assistance system will be introduced in Ukraine.

Previously, parents received 41,280 hryvnias for a newborn, of which only 10,3 thousand was paid immediately, while the rest — 860 hryvnias — was accrued monthly over three years. Now, the assistance of 50 thousand hryvnias will be paid immediately, in one payment, after the birth of the child. This amount will remain unchanged, regardless of whether the newborn is the first or subsequent child in the family.

Thus, the innovations will simplify the process of obtaining assistance for parents of newborns, as payments will now occur in one single payment. This is expected to significantly ease the financial burden on families who have just become parents and will allow them to adapt more quickly to the new conditions of life with a baby.
