There is no mass evacuation from Zaporizhzhia: schools and hospitals are operating in the city

According to ТСН: There are no reasons for mass evacuation in Zaporizhzhia. The city continues to provide all necessary social services.

This was reported by acting mayor of Zaporizhzhia, Regina Kharchenko, during the broadcast of 'Morning.LIVE'. She emphasized that people may temporarily leave for a few days due to intense shelling, but usually return back. The city is ready to provide temporary accommodation for all those who have lost their homes, regardless of its type - apartments, private houses, or dormitories.

State of social services

'As of now, there is no mass evacuation because there are no grounds for it. All social services are operating, schools are functioning, and hospitals are working,' she noted.

Kharchenko also added that the quality of social services in Zaporizhzhia is on par with major Western cities like Lviv or Ivano-Frankivsk.

Recall that during the massive shelling on November 26, the center of Zaporizhzhia suffered significant destruction.

'We are at one of the addresses where the enemy hit a high-rise building. This is right in the city center. Three floors in the building were completely burned out. An enemy 'Shahed' just flew into the apartments of the residents of Zaporizhzhia,' says Daria Nazanova, a correspondent for TSN.

The situation in Zaporizhzhia remains complex, but local authorities assure that there are currently no grounds for a mass exodus of residents. The readiness of municipal services to provide assistance and support remains high, even during emergencies. Meanwhile, after the shelling, it is important to restore normal life in the city, which is actively ongoing in wartime conditions.
