Fraudsters on TikTok promise humanitarian aid to Ukrainians: how the scheme works.

According to ТСН: Numerous fake videos have started to appear on TikTok, where the authors incorrectly report on humanitarian aid for Ukrainian families from international charitable funds. In these videos, users are invited to follow the 'link in the profile header' and fill out a form to receive a 'payment' or a 'aid package'.

According to the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, these videos are not related to charity at all. They are created to manipulate people's trust, gather their personal data, or artificially boost the audience for certain accounts and resources.

Official sources of information

Experts emphasize that current information on humanitarian support is available only on the official websites of international charitable organizations, Ukrainian ministries, local administrations, and verified partner structures.

The Center has already recorded cases of spreading false information, including a fake about 'payments to children of war', which was also used to deceive citizens.

Information campaigns

It was previously reported that Russian propagandists plan to intensify information campaigns against the West, aimed at undermining trust in sanctions and increasing fears of a nuclear threat.

It has also become known that in 2026 Russia plans to significantly increase spending on state television channels and Kremlin broadcasters, despite a record budget deficit and economic difficulties.
