Counterfeit iPhone 17 Pro Max Sparks Outrage

According to TSN.ua: A young woman in Kyiv was left shocked and disappointed after receiving a counterfeit iPhone 17 Pro Max instead of the genuine device she ordered. The purchase was made with courier delivery, but the package arrived three days late. The problem came to light during a celebration, turning what should have been a happy moment into a major letdown. A subsequent expert examination confirmed the phone was indeed a fake.

Online Backlash and Consumer Warnings

After discovering the fraud, the woman reached out to the store where she made the purchase, as well as to Apple, seeking assistance. However, representatives from the Comfy store refused any support, bluntly stating:

'The counterfeit is confirmed, we cannot help you, do whatever you want.'
This response sparked outrage, prompting the woman to warn others:
'Stay far away from them! Only buy expensive electronics in-store, and check everything on the spot.'
She also filed a complaint with Ukraine's State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The incident has ignited heated discussions online, with users expressing concerns about product quality and the reliability of electronics retailers. Many note that such cases can seriously erode consumer trust in both brands and retail chains.

This case highlights the need for caution when purchasing high-end gadgets, especially from unfamiliar sellers. Consumers are urged to carefully choose their retailers and inspect products before payment to avoid similar scams. It also underscores the growing demand for stricter quality control and stronger consumer protection measures in the electronics market.
