According to TSN.ua: Following renewed Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, Kyiv and its surrounding region face a severe energy crisis. For a fourth consecutive day, heating remains cut off to 1,200 apartment buildings, while repair crews struggle with a shortage of critical resources. Kyiv's authorities have urged residents to conserve electricity and prepare emergency supplies for 3-5 days. This situation highlights the ongoing vulnerability of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure to targeted attacks.

Approximately 80 repair teams are currently working in Kyiv to restore heat. However, as noted by Kyivteploenergo, the temperature inside apartments depends not only on the central heating network but also on the proper functioning of each building's internal systems. These systems require careful adjustment to ensure comfortable conditions in individual units.

According to Petro Panteleiev, problems with maintaining the heating system are exacerbated by a shortage of qualified specialists, partly due to wartime mobilization. He reported that energy equipment in buildings is being overloaded, causing fuses and cables to fail. This, in turn, complicates efforts to restore a stable power supply.

Guidance for Residents

In light of these circumstances, the Ministry of Internal Affairs advises citizens not to attempt to heat their entire apartment. Instead, they recommend staying in one, smaller room to conserve warmth. The Ministry also warned of potential emergency situations that could lead to prolonged power outages in residential buildings.

Under these conditions, Kyiv residents are advised to prepare a 3-5 day supply of essential items:

• Non-perishable food
