According to TSN.ua: Anna Neplyakh, who won the title of Miss Ukraine Universe in 2021, has opened up about her struggle with cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2020 after suffering a severe case of COVID-19. The first warning signs came in the form of intense migraines, prompting the young woman to seek medical attention.
When she consulted a doctor, scans revealed a malignant growth in her maxillary sinus. Medical professionals urged immediate surgery due to the tumor’s large size.
“You have a tumor. We need to operate right away—it’s very large,” the doctor told her.The procedure to remove the tumor took place on a Wednesday, just two days after she first saw her medical team on Monday.
Ongoing Screenings and the Power of Support
Today, Anna Neplyakh undergoes regular check-ups because of the risk of recurrence.
“I still get a full check-up every year and review everything, since there is a chance it could come back,” she explained.This experience has become a pivotal chapter in her life, making health her top priority and teaching her invaluable lessons through the battle with illness.
