Yellow level of danger in Kyiv: due to dense fog visibility will drop to 200 meters.
According to ТСН: On Monday in Kyiv, due to fog, visibility on the roads will be 200-500 meters. Meteorologists announced the 1st level of danger, yellow.
This was reported by representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration and the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
«In the next hour until the end of December 14, at night and in the morning of December 15, there will be fog in Kyiv. Visibility - 200-500 m (1st level of danger, yellow),» the message states.
Recommendations for drivers
Experts advise drivers to follow these tips while driving in fog:
reduce speed;
if there are fog lights, turn them on together with low beam;
maintain a safe distance from other vehicles;
when stopping, turn on the hazard lights;
avoid sharp maneuvers on the road.
Call to pedestrians
Pedestrians are asked to be especially vigilant and wear reflective elements – reflectors – so that they are clearly visible to drivers in fog and during the dark hours of the day.
We remind you that the new working week in Ukraine, starting from December 15, will begin with warming. This may simplify the situation on the roads, however, fog will still remain a relevant risk factor for drivers and pedestrians. It is important to exercise caution and consider weather conditions when moving around the city.
