Russian drone hits a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia: the number of injured has increased.
According to ТСН: In the morning of December 16, powerful explosions rang out in Zaporizhzhia — the regional center became a target for Russian troops again during the night.
This was reported by local media and representatives of the authorities.
“An explosion was heard in Zaporizhzhia”, - noted correspondents.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, confirmed that several explosions had occurred in the region.
“Explosions in the Zaporizhzhia region. Stay in safe places until the threat has passed”, - the official added.
Later, Fedorov clarified that the Zaporizhzhia district was under fire.
“Repeated explosions that were heard in the city - an enemy attack by Russians on the Zaporizhzhia district. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties and destruction”, - he noted.
Also, at 07:35, sirens again sounded in the Zaporizhzhia region: air forces were warning about an approaching threat moving towards Zaporizhzhia.
It should be noted that during the night, Russian troops launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia using drones. One of the Shahed-type kamikaze drones hit a high-rise building, causing a fire in the house. According to the regional military administration, the number of injured as a result of this strike has risen to three.
Explosions in Zaporizhzhia and airstrikes emphasize the continued threat from Russian troops, which is not diminishing. Local residents remain on alert for possible subsequent attacks, following the authorities' recommendations to remain in safe places in case of an air raid signal. The situation remains tense, and residents of the city hope for stabilization of the situation in the near future.
