Train from Przemysl to Kyiv halted in Poland due to bomb threat

According to ТСН: On Saturday, reports of a possible 'bomb threat' on several trains, including the Przemysl-Kyiv route, as well as Kyiv-Uzhhorod and Kyiv-Budapest, appeared online. There is no official information regarding this matter yet.

This information was relayed by the Telegram channel 'Kyiv INFO', which also released a video of the events.

According to available data, the international train from Przemysl to Kyiv was allegedly bombed. Passengers were evacuated from the carriages, and in the video, people can be seen on the street in the middle of the field. What exactly happened is still not specified.

Witnesses who reported the situation noted that the train was stopped in Poland immediately after departure due to reports of a possible bombing.

'We were evacuated from the train, and we are all walking away from it because there are reports of a bombing,' one of the passengers said.

According to those traveling, the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' workers stated that a situation like this in Poland happened for the first time. Currently, the train is being inspected, and, according to passengers' testimonies, only the engineer remained in the carriage.

Additional reports of bomb threats

Later, the same sources added that the Kyiv-Uzhhorod and Kyiv-Budapest trains might also have been bombed. Passengers are currently waiting on the platform while special services are checking the carriages.

It should be noted that on the evening of December 5, information about a supposed bombing of passenger train No. 731 'Intercity', which was heading from Kyiv to Zaporizhzhia, was also published online. 'Ukrzaliznytsia' confirmed receiving this information, but after inspection by specialists, no explosives were found.

The situation regarding the possible bombing of trains has caused significant concern among passengers and their families. Until the inspections are completed, passengers had to remain on the platform, while specialists meticulously examined the carriages for the presence of explosive devices. This reminds how important it is to remain vigilant in public transport.

It is expected that further clarifications will come from representatives of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' and special services regarding the progress of events and the results of inspections.
