Attack on military personnel of the TCK in Vinnytsia region: attacker with a awl arrested.
Arrest in the Raihorod community
According to ТСН: In the Raihorod community of the Haisyn district, law enforcement officers arrested a 46-year-old local resident. The incident occurred during a document check when the man injured a serviceman of the territorial recruitment center.
According to the police report, the event took place in the morning when a group of representatives of the district TCK and SP were carrying out their official duties. They stopped a passerby to check military accounting documents.
During the conversation, the man suddenly attacked one of the soldiers, striking him in the leg with a sharp object resembling an awl, and then fled the scene of the crime.
The police of the Haisyn district quickly established the location of the suspect and arrested him. At the scene, law enforcement officers seized the weapon used in the attack and other evidence materials.
Currently, investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the assault on the life of a serviceman or law enforcement officer.
“The penalty of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of nine to fifteen years or life imprisonment,” the police noted.
Moreover, in neighboring Kharkiv, similar incidents have occurred, where a car driver fired at a TCK and SP worker during a document check. In the past, Odessa law enforcement officers also detained a suspect in an armed attack on a TCK serviceman.
This situation highlights the increasing tension during document checks in the context of the state of war in Ukraine. Law enforcement agencies continue to take measures to ensure safety and law and order in the country, taking action against any acts of aggression against military and law enforcement officers.
