Teachers in Vinnytsia found guilty of harassment towards schoolgirls: details of the case.
According to ТСН: In the city of Illintsi, located in the Vinnytsia region, a court found a teacher guilty of sexual harassment towards underage female students. The educator made obscene gestures, looks, and inappropriate touches during lessons.
Atmosphere in the classroom
The incident occurred in October 2025 at Illintsi Lyceum No. 2. According to case documents, the teacher humiliated the honor and dignity of 11th-grade female students during lessons.
The girls shared shocking details in court. One student noted that the teacher repeatedly viewed the girls' breasts and buttocks with 'interest'. Another student recounted that the teacher attempted to hit her on the buttocks, but she managed to dodge.
Witness testimonies
In addition to sexual harassment, students and principals from other institutions where classes were held confirmed that the teacher:
used physical force (including 'kicks');
took away mobile phones;
made inappropriate remarks and humiliating jokes.
A representative from the 'Educational Security Service' reported that after parents' complaints, an inspection was conducted that formed the basis for drawing up a protocol on administrative offenses.
Teacher's position
The teacher did not admit his guilt during the court hearing, claiming that 'the children simply misunderstood him'. Despite this, the lyceum's administration conducted an internal investigation, which resulted in a reprimand for the teacher and his suspension from teaching.
Court decision
Judge Oleksienko O.Yu. heard the children's testimonies in the presence of parents, psychologists, and educators, and concluded that the teacher's guilt was proven 'beyond reasonable doubt'. His actions were qualified under Part 1, Article 173-7 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (Sexual harassment).
The teacher was fined 1,700 UAH. He also has to pay over 600 UAH in court fees.
This case highlights the importance of protecting children's rights in educational institutions. It demonstrates how serious crimes can occur in educational environments and that the response of society and educational administrations must be quick and clear. Parents and students should have the opportunity to speak openly about their problems, and educational institutions should promptly respond to complaints and ensure a safe learning environment.
