Another nurse was exposed at the crematorium in Kharkiv for stealing the personal belongings of fallen soldiers.

According to ТСН: The law enforcement authorities of the Kharkiv region have discovered another employee of the crematorium who appropriated personal belongings of fallen Ukrainian soldiers in the Kupiansk direction. During a search, the stolen mobile phones of the defenders were found with the nurse.

The prosecution recalled that in August 2025, the actions of a young nurse at the crematorium were already documented, who systematically appropriated the belongings of fallen soldiers, participants in combat operations in the Kupiansk direction. The case against her has already been brought to court, where an indictment was accepted.

The investigation later uncovered another accomplice - a colleague of the nurse - who was also involved in the thefts from the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Search and suspicion

As investigators learned, the junior nurse of the Chuguiv department of the DSI 'Kharkiv Regional Bureau for Forensic Examination' appropriated the mobile phones of fallen soldiers. Stolen devices were seized from the accused during the search.

The nurse has already been notified of the suspicion of theft during martial law. Currently, the question of a detention order is being considered.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement authorities will check the man's possible involvement in other similar cases.

Statement from the wife of the fallen

The wife of the fallen Ukrainian tank soldier Eduard Roschka, Julia, accused the employees of the crematorium and funeral services in Malyn of appropriating the soldier's gold ring. Documents from the crematorium in Sumy confirm the presence of the jewelry during transport, but it disappeared before the burial, leaving traces of violent removal on the finger.

These incidents provoke outrage in society and undermine trust in medical institutions and services. Law enforcement authorities continue the investigation to hold all responsible accountable and to prevent similar situations in the future. Such cases require special attention, as they concern not only material losses but also respect for the memory of the fallen heroes.
