Online casino Pin-UP lost its license in Ukraine.
The Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced the cessation of Pin-Up's operations in Ukraine as part of the reform of the gambling market. The new state agency 'PlayCity' aims to make the gambling market transparent and attractive for investors.
“The first steps are digitalization of licensing, monitoring the operations of casinos, and restarting the lottery business. A transparent gambling market means an additional 10 billion hryvnias in the budget. The focus is on combating illegal casinos and businesses with Russian ties. Pin-Up has already been deprived of its license to operate in Ukraine,”Fedorov emphasized the importance of legality and accountability in the gambling business.
The director of the online casino Pin-Up has been detained
In 2023, the director of the online casino Pin-Up was detained due to violations of legislation. His company was deprived of its license to operate due to efforts to make the gambling market in Ukraine more transparent and legal.
The cessation of Pin-Up's operations and the detention of its director are part of a broader campaign to combat illegal gambling and reform the gambling sector. Government efforts are focused on creating a fair and transparent gambling market with increased standards of openness and accountability.
