In Kyiv, residents of the residential complex protested due to the lack of heating: what is the government doing

According to ТСН: Protesters gathered near the Kyiv City Council. Women with children, who still live in apartments without heating, came to the city hall. One of the posters read:

«Our children are freezing, while you are staying warm!»

Heating situation

This concerns the residential complex on Serhiy Danchentko Street in the Podilskyi district of the capital.

The city hall reports that they have recently managed to resolve the heating supply issue in residential complexes on Andriy Abolmasov Street and Kadetsky Hay. The city urges residents of the buildings on Serhiy Danchentko Street to take similar actions.

«There is still no heating in the residential complex on Serhiy Danchentko Street. The reason is the unresolved gas supply issue for private boilers, which are not serviced by municipal services. This problem arose due to the debt owed to Naftogaz of Ukraine.»

The KMDA notes that the city is coordinating efforts from all parties to ensure heating supply for residents.

«Two other groups of residential complexes — on Kadetsky Hay Street and Andriy Abolmasov Street — have already resolved their issues: one group is receiving heat as a result of negotiations with Naftogaz of Ukraine, and the other is in the final stages of signing an agreement.»

The city authorities urge co-owners and homeowners' associations on Serhiy Danchentko Street to urgently contact Naftogaz to resolve the debt issue. The company has proposed a convenient mechanism for signing contracts so that buildings can receive gas and heat as quickly as possible.

The heating situation continues to remain tense, as the cold weather approaches, residents suffering from the cold hope for a quick resolution to the problem. The city authorities are focusing their efforts on restoring heating supply in all residential complexes; however, the situation on Serhiy Danchentko Street remains unresolved, and local residents demand action from the responsible authorities.
