Nova Poshta Closes Last Branch in Svyatohirsk: What Caused This?

According to ТСН: The company "Nova Poshta" is closing its last branch in Svyatohirsk in Donetsk region.

This was announced by the company's press service on social media.

"We postponed this moment until the last, but the situation has become critically unsafe. Due to heavy shelling, the approach of the front, and drones hunting cars, we are closing our last branch in Svyatohirsk," the company explained.

It is worth noting that for the past few months, the Nova Poshta branch was the only business operating in the city. In November alone, residents of Svyatohirsk sent and received over 3,400 packages.

"Our branch became a true 'point of resilience,' where hundreds of residents of the city and surrounding areas could receive medicines, food, humanitarian aid, charge mobile phones, connect to the internet, and contact their relatives," Nova Poshta representatives said.

This was made possible thanks to the staff: branch manager Lyudmyla, operator Polina, receiver Yevhen, and two drivers with the same name, Serhii and Serhii. After the evacuation, the company promised these workers jobs in other cities and departments.

The Situation in the Region

Currently, 37 branches of Nova Poshta are operating in Donetsk region. Two more are planned to open by the end of 2025. The installation of parcel machines is also ongoing, with a total of 181 units counted today.

In the comments, it was noted that when Nova Poshta leaves frontline cities, it symbolizes that life has departed from there.

As a reminder, the last Nova Poshta branch in Pokrovsk closed in February 2025.

This closure highlights the difficult situation in the region, where due to military actions, businesses face extreme challenges in maintaining operations. The branch, which performed important social functions, has left local residents without essential services, communication, and humanitarian aid. Such closures are yet another alarming signal for residents of frontline territories trying to adapt to new living conditions.
