Russia attacked Burshtyn with Shahed drones: what is known about the consequences of the strike.
According to ТСН: On the morning of December 23, Russian military forces attacked the city of Burshtyn in the Ivano-Frankivsk region using Shahed drones. Residents heard explosions, and air defense forces actively responded.
Series of Explosions
Several explosions occurred in Burshtyn: the first one at 06:16, followed by two more at 06:30 and 07:10.
Officials' Comments
The head of the regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, confirmed that the attack was carried out using drones.
“The enemy is attacking Prykarpattia with Shaheds! Air defense is in operation! Stay in safe places,”she stated.
Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Marchinkiv also warned about the potential duration of the combination of strikes.
Problems with Electricity
Residents report power outages in Burshtyn, as well as in the Voyniliv and Halych communities.
Furthermore, on December 23, the Russian army again struck energy facilities, leading to emergency power shutdowns in several regions of Ukraine.
This situation underscores the ongoing threat faced by Ukrainian cities. Burshtyn, like several other settlements, suffers from attacks targeting energy infrastructure, raising concerns among local residents about safety and stability in the region.
