Massive Russian attack overnight: six regions left without light and heat.
According to ТСН: During the night of December 13, Russian troops shelled the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. Air raid alerts sounded several times, and attacks continued until morning.
Odesa and the region
Odeshyna endured one of the strongest blows in recent times. Since midnight, the city was shelled with Shahed drones, and cruise missiles Kalibr were launched from the sea. After two o'clock in the morning, Odesa was attacked by Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles and ground ballistic missiles.
Just before dawn, Odesa was hit by Iskander-K cruise missiles launched from Russia.
In the morning, local authorities reported that most of the city was left without heat and water.
“As a result of the strikes, there were fires, and administrative buildings and energy facilities were damaged. Rescuers are working to eliminate the consequences. In some areas of the region, power supply interruptions are observed,” wrote the head of the OVA Oleg Kiper.
According to the State Emergency Service, four people were injured. Rescuers clarified that, in addition to energy facilities, fire broke out at textile product warehouses. Residential buildings, an administrative building, and civilian and fire vehicles were also damaged in the region.
Mykolaiv region
Russian occupiers carried out one of the largest attacks on Mykolaiv and the region. They hit industrial facilities and energy infrastructure, and also shelled residential quarters, resulting in injuries to five people, according to the mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.
A 16-year-old girl, a 48-year-old woman, and a 43-year-old man found themselves in the hospital, all in moderate condition.
The head of Mykolaiv OVA Vitaliy Kim reported that Mykolaiv and Bastian districts remained without power. Critical infrastructure facilities will operate on generators, and 45 boiler houses of OCP Mykolaivoblteploenergo have already been connected.
“The launch of Mykolaiv TPP has begun at the expense of its own KGU,” emphasized Kim.
The main technological facilities of MKP Mykolaivvodokanal are also operating on generators. Kim noted that preparations are underway to implement a backup power supply scheme for the regional center. In Mykolaiv, 37 Points of Unbreakability are working, in Mykolaiv district - 90, and in Bastian district - 73.
Kirovohrad region
Russia dealt a combined blow to Ukraine's energy facilities, attacking Kirovohrad region as well.
The head of Kirovohrad OVA Andriy Raikovych reported that Russians carried out yet another massive attack, involving missiles and drones.
“The main target was again the energy infrastructure of the region,” noted Raikovych.
Russian strikes cut off electricity in Kherson and part of the region
As a result of the massive attacks carried out by Russia, Kherson and part of Kherson region were left without electricity.
The head of OVA Alexander Prokudin reported that several settlements, including the regional center, were left without power.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Fires broke out in Dnipro and the region due to the attack, damaging houses and cars. Two people were injured, one of them in serious condition.
A drone hit a one-story building that was not in use. The State Emergency Service noted that a man born in 1958 was also hospitalized in serious condition. All fires have been extinguished by rescuers.
Consumers in six regions of Ukraine remain without electricity
As a result of Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, homes in six regions of Ukraine remain without electricity in the morning: Odesa, Chernihiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions.
The Ministry of Energy emphasized that in all regions of Ukraine, hourly disconnection schedules and power limitations for industrial enterprises and businesses are being implemented.
Zelensky's reaction to the attack
The President of Ukraine noted that as a result of the massive attack, more than a dozen civilian facilities were damaged throughout the country. Power outages occurred in Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy regions were also affected.
“All necessary services are currently working on restoring electricity and water supply in the communities that suffered after the night Russian attack. The main blow was again to the energy sector, to the south and Odesa region. Thousands of families are now left without electricity,” he emphasized.
This night attack confirms the continuation of the aggression of Russian troops against Ukraine, causing serious damage to infrastructure and threatening the safety of the population. Government agencies, energy companies, and rescuers are currently actively working to restore normal life in the regions affected by the bombardments.
In the conditions of the ongoing conflict, restoring infrastructure is not only important but also ensuring safety for residents who have become victims of these attacks. Only coordinated actions and the resilience of society can help overcome this difficult situation.
