According to ТСН: This night, Zaporizhzhia once again became a target for a massive attack. Russian troops struck the city with Shahed drones, and the military administration recorded at least 15 places affected by enemy fire. Twelve people are known to need medical assistance.

The city center burned: 'Shahed' hit the apartments

During the attack, a high-rise building in the very center of Zaporizhzhia was damaged.

'We are at one of the addresses where the enemy hit the high-rise building. This is the very center of the city. Three floors burned down completely in the building. An enemy 'Shahed' just flew into the apartments of the residents of Zaporizhzhia,' says Daria Nazarova.

The first explosions were heard after 10 PM, and fires broke out in various parts of the city, leading to general chaos.

At least the following were damaged as a result of the attacks:

  • Seven high-rise buildings

  • Gas station

  • Store

  • Dormitory

  • Several cars

What is known about the injured

By morning, 12 injured people who were hospitalized became known. Rescue services responded promptly and arrived at the impact sites. Those who survived are trying to clear the area of debris and restore their lives after the night of terror.

One of the injured, who was hit by a fragment, shared her impressions:

'I hadn’t slept, I had just laid down when then came the hit, I ran to the corridor and something, I don’t know what it was, hit me in the head, I was completely covered in blood.'

According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia military administration, Ivan Fedorov, assistance points are being set up:

'Assistance points are being deployed for those who were forced out of their apartments. There are also heating points and buses for heating at almost every location.'

As a result of the attack, seven people were left homeless; they have been placed in shelters. According to the regional military administration, the strikes were mainly directed at residential areas, which led to serious consequences for civilians.
