Russians struck a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia with a Shahed: three injured.

According to ТСН: In Zaporizhzhia, Russian military attacked a residential high-rise building using a Shahed drone. As a result of the shelling, three people were injured.

During firefighting efforts, which broke out on several floors of the building, a repeated rocket attack occurred. However, air defense forces were able to intercept enemy missiles before they hit the city.

Consequences of the Shahed strike

The kamikaze drone Shahed struck the high-rise building around five in the morning. Fire engulfed three floors, and apartments flared up like torches. Instead of living spaces, only ruins remained.

One of the residents, Mrs. Tamara, recalls how she ran outside in her pajamas:

‘I was sleeping, and when I heard a loud bang — I grabbed my dog and started running. We are not allowed back into the apartment yet because firefighters are still working. The balcony burned completely.’

Repeated strike during firefighting

While rescue services were working at the scene, an air alert was declared again in the city due to missile shelling. During repeated explosions, rescuers were forced to suspend their work and seek shelter.

Fortunately, air defense destroyed enemy missiles before they could hit the city. The negative situation did not stop the municipal workers, who continued to work at the scene.

‘It's scary, but we have to work. We hide here under the building, what to do, where to run? You can’t break us.’

Condition of the injured and assistance

As a result of the attack, three injured persons have been reported:

• Man in serious condition — suffered severe carbon monoxide poisoning.

• Second man — has shrapnel wounds.

• Retiree — received medical assistance on site.

In the first hours after the shelling, about fifty residents reported property damage. Among them, 19 people from vulnerable categories (persons with disabilities and internally displaced persons). The city authorities promised to pay the affected individuals 15 thousand hryvnias as one-time assistance and provide temporary shelter in a shelter.

Currently, work is ongoing to ascertain the full consequences of the enemy strike.
