Night Attack on Rostov-on-Don: Drones Hit Strategic Plant and Oil Depot.

According to ТСН: On the night of January 14, explosions were reported in Rostov-on-Don, Russia: drones attacked a strategic plant and an oil depot. A large fire erupted at the 'Empils' facility, rapidly spreading.

This was reported by Telegram channels and the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar.

According to Russian social media, the territory of the 'Empils' plant caught fire as a result of drone strikes and presumably missile attacks.

Witnesses indicate that the hits occurred in tanks containing oil products, causing a powerful fire that continues to expand. Official sources have not yet confirmed information about such hits.

Additionally, damage to residential buildings has been recorded. Videos have emerged on social media showing the operation of Russian air defense: in one, a missile initially ascends into the air, then changes trajectory and falls to the ground. Debris struck several apartment buildings, causing fires.

Russian media report at least four injuries. While clearing rubble in one of the apartments, rescuers found the body of a deceased man.

In the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that air defense forces supposedly intercepted and destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones. According to enemy reports, 25 drones were shot down over the Rostov region, 13 over the Stavropol region, five over the Bryansk region, one over the Belgorod and Kursk regions, and another three over occupied Crimea.

It is worth noting that the day before, the SBU and Navy carried out an attack on the 'Atlant Aero' plant in Taganrog, triggering a series of explosions and a large fire in the production facilities. This plant is engaged in the full cycle of production of strike UAVs 'Molniya' and components for 'Orion' drones, which Russia uses in the war against Ukraine.

This attack highlights the consequences of military actions in the region and heightens tensions between Ukraine and Russia. The developments indicate a constant risk of escalation of the conflict and a threat to the civilian population.
