Main Intelligence Directorate refuted information about a quote from the head of the agency
The Main Intelligence Directorate has refuted information about a quote from the head of the agency, Kyrylo Budanov, from a closed session of the Verkhovna Rada. The press service of the GUR reported this.
As 'Ukrainska Pravda' wrote, Budanov stated: if serious negotiations regarding the end of the war do not take place by summer, then 'very dangerous processes for the very existence of Ukraine may be set in motion'.
The military intelligence reported that the information is untrue, emphasizing that the war is still ongoing, and the informational dimension is also critically important.
The press service calls on all media representatives not to spread unverified and unofficially confirmed information, especially regarding issues of defense in war, which individual political figures may distort for their own interests, using journalists for this purpose.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, previously reacted to rumors about his possible dismissal, calling it 'another fake' aimed at destabilizing the country.
According to Budanov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently winning in the war of drones, but the Russians have massively begun to use fiber-optic drones, which creates a problem.
North Korea is reported to be sending an additional 150 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia this year. Pyongyang is also likely to transfer additional howitzers.
