According to TSN.ua: Due to the ongoing energy crisis, Ukraine's emergency number 112 has expanded its role to accept reports of cold radiators and water supply failures. Calls from Kyiv residents have surged, exceeding 3,500 per day, with the majority concerning a lack of heating. This situation highlights the severe strain on the capital's infrastructure following targeted attacks on the energy grid.

Residents report enduring freezing conditions for four consecutive days, with many also contacting 112 to report a lack of water and electricity.

How the Response System is Operating

Authorities have established nearly 1,300 'invincibility points' across the capital to provide residents with essential services during the emergency. To support these efforts, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) has powered 24 critical facilities with high-capacity generators, improving the overall situation. Additionally, 88 modular frame shelters have been deployed in the city to serve as temporary housing.

The SESU has stated it is prepared to feed the population should weather conditions worsen or other utility failures occur in Kyiv or other regions. Necessary reserves are in place, and the service is ready to deploy mobile kitchens if needed.
