Ruslan Stefanchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commented on the bill regarding the deprivation of state awards from collaborators and traitors.

In a telethon, he stated that this process will be carried out only on the basis of court verdicts, ensuring a transparent and transparent procedure.

The bill covers a wide range of state awards, including the title of Hero of Ukraine and other honorable titles. Stefanchuk noted that many well-known individuals considered traitors still hold Ukrainian awards.

«Various Medvedchuks and Tabachniks still have a whole series of awards in Ukraine. I won't even mention various honored artists,» said the Speaker of the Rada.

Earlier, on August 15, President Volodymyr Zelensky also mentioned this bill, emphasizing its significance for national security and justice.

According to the Chesno movement, among those who could be deprived of awards are former officials and politicians such as Dmytro Tabachnyk (Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi), Illia Kyva (Order of Danylo Halytskyi), Mykola Azarov, Oleksandr Yefremov, Viktor Medvedchuk (Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise). In addition, orders have been awarded to well-known collaborators Yevhen Balytskyi, Volodymyr Saldo, and Oleh Tsaryov.

Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the title of Hero of Ukraine is still held by Yuriy Boyko, one of the leaders of the banned pro-Russian party 'Opposition Platform – For Life'.
