According to police reports, the shooter is currently being sought. The incident occurred in the building of the engineering and physics departments, where tests for students were taking place at the time.

One student shared his experiences with journalists, noting that he hid under a desk for two hours, waiting for police to complete the threat removal operation.

US President Donald Trump stated that he has been informed about the shooting. According to him, federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the US Department of Justice ATF, are assisting local police.

Brown University has about 11,000 students, and the incident occurred on the second day of the fall semester's final exams, significantly complicating the situation on campus.

It should be noted that earlier in California, a child's birthday celebration turned into a tragedy: four people were killed in a shooting, including children.
