Tragedy at the rally in India: 39 people died in a stampede.
According to inkorr.com: A deadly incident occurred at a pre-election rally of actor and politician Vijay in the Indian city of Karur, resulting in 39 deaths and around 100 injuries. The tragedy happened on September 27 when 27,000 more people gathered in the square than it could accommodate.
Vijay's Reaction
"This amount is certainly insignificant compared to such a loss. However, at this moment, my duty is to support you," said Vijay, promising to compensate the families of the deceased and the injured.
Outrage over the incident is growing, as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged fellow citizens to support domestic production and avoid foreign brands due to U.S. tariffs on imports from India. At the same time, residents of India set a world record by building a pyramid with 10 levels, reaching a height of 14.73 meters.
Thus, the tragedy at the rally sparked discussions about the importance of safety at public events and heightened calls for unity among the population.
