Fatal Accident in Kirovohrad Region: Driver Killed a Pedestrian.
According to ТСН: On the evening of November 25, a tragedy occurred on the M-30 highway near the village of Vesely in the Alexandriya district. The police received a notification about the incident at 18:50.
According to preliminary data, a 21-year-old driver of a Renault Master, moving towards Kropyvnytskyi, hit a 39-year-old pedestrian who was walking along the roadside in the same direction. As a result of the injuries sustained, the man died at the scene.
A criminal proceeding has been opened on this fact under Article 286 part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine— for violating traffic safety rules that led to a person's death. Law enforcement continues to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
Recommendations for Drivers and Pedestrians
The Kirovohrad region police urge drivers and pedestrians to be attentive during the dark hours of the day. Particularly, pedestrians are advised:
not to suddenly enter the roadway,
to use reflective elements—reflectors, stickers, bracelets, or ribbons that help drivers notice pedestrians from a much greater distance.
This case emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety rules on the roads, as only attentiveness and caution can prevent similar tragedies. The police continue efforts to raise awareness among road users to ensure the safety of all. However, each of us must also remember our responsibility on the road.
