In Kyiv, a man with a knife behind his back stopped the police and the TCK: what really happened.
According to ТСН: In Kyiv, at the Cosmic Square, during a document check, a man tried to 'drive away' the police and TCK representatives while holding a knife in his hand.
A video appeared on social networks showing how law enforcement officers attempt to communicate with the man. He steps back, holding a phone in one hand while keeping the other behind his back.
“At Cosmic Square, a man, holding a knife behind his back, is trying to 'drive away' the police and TCK,” the online community writes.
Police Position
The Kyiv police commented on this situation. The department reported:
“During a document check by a notification group that includes officers from the Solomyansky Police Department and TCK, a man was stopped for a document check. The citizen confirmed on the spot that he is the father of four children. After the document check, he was released,” the Kyiv police statement says.
At the same time, the police noted that they could not confirm the fact of the man's knife and assured that he did not threaten the law enforcement officers.
According to information, the man may have been nervous during the conversation and kept his hand behind his back. The police stressed:
“Most likely. People react differently during document checks. But our employees assure that the man did not have a knife. He showed his documents and was released,” the police adds.
This incident highlights the importance of caution during document checks, as uncertainty can lead to tense situations for both citizens and law enforcement. The police continue to emphasize that safety and order in such situations remain their priority.
