Drone Operations in Kharkiv: New Footage Sparks Discussions
According to TSN.ua: A video has been recorded in Kharkiv showing Russian drones descending with parachutes. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed these recordings. Both conflicting parties are reportedly using such systems, highlighting the use of modern technologies in warfare.
The footage was taken in the Saltivka district. Serhij Beskrestnow, a technology advisor at the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, confirmed that the unmanned aerial vehicles indeed land with parachutes. He expressed surprise at the excitement in Telegram channels, stating
“all reconnaissance drones land with parachutes”.
Types of Drones and Their Usage
Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Force command, added that the parachute could be deployed either by the operator's command or after the drone is hit. This especially concerns reconnaissance drones, which are supposed to return via parachute after their mission.
