According to ТСН: In the evening of December 16, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv due to the threat of a drone attack. The city's head reported explosions.

According to the data from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hostile drones were detected on the approaches to the capital. As of 22:36, UAVs were moving in the Brovary area towards the west. The threat arose due to the movement of drones from Cherkasy and Poltava regions towards Kyiv region.

Call to residents

Residents of Kyiv and the region are urged to urgently go to civil protection shelters and remain in safe places until the alert is lifted.

Danger in other regions

At the same time, danger is recorded in other regions: the Air Force reports drones approaching from the Black Sea area towards Odesa region, as well as launches of guided aviation bombs (GAB) in Donetsk region.

Later, the Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko confirmed that explosions were detected in the city.

“Air defense forces are working in Obolon. Stay in shelters!” Klitschko reported.
