Emergency rescue operations in Kryvyi Rih completed after Russian military attack

The head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Wilkul, reported that emergency rescue operations have been completed at all sites of enemy attacks. 'City headquarters and municipal services are now continuing their work,' he added.

On April 4, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a residential area of Kryvyi Rih. Eighteen people died, including nine children, and over 60 people were injured, including children. Five apartment buildings, educational institutions, catering establishments, and more than 30 vehicles were destroyed.

According to the head of the city's Defense Council, Oleksandr Wilkul, the Russians used an 'Iskander-M' missile with cluster munitions, which detonated in the air above the residential area, causing a large number of casualties among civilians.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack and called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia.

That same evening, the Russians launched drones over Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the attack, an elderly woman died in a private house that caught fire. There are also five wounded.

As a result of the strike, tracks and contact networks were damaged in one of the city's districts, causing several trams to stop running. Rescuers are still battling flames in two locations.
