Suspect Apprehended in Deadly Attack on Military Official
According to TSN.ua: A man has been taken into custody in Lviv following a violent confrontation that left a 52-year-old military recruitment officer dead from a knife wound. The incident unfolded on April 2 near Patona Street during an altercation.
Emergency services received a report of an assault on a staff member of the territorial recruitment center. The suspect, a 1991-born Lviv resident employed as an inspector at the Lviv Customs Office, was arrested at the scene. The victim sustained critical injuries during the attack and later died at a hospital.
Criminal Investigation Underway
Authorities have launched a criminal case under Article 115, Part 2, Clause 8 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code—premeditated murder. Lviv Regional State Administration head Maksym Kozytskyi commented on the case, stating,
“The attacker must face inevitable punishment.”
The investigation remains active, with law enforcement working to establish all circumstances surrounding the assault.
