In Pavlohrad, energy was controlled by a stranger: hundreds of people without electricity for over a day.
According to ТСН: Residents of Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk witnessed an unacceptable case of lawlessness. In the context of the energy crisis, a stranger controlled the disconnection schedules in one of the districts of the city, leading to hundreds of people being left without electricity for more than a day and a half.
Residents' Outrage
On the night of December 19, an angry crowd gathered in the streets of the city. Residents of Chereshneva Street and neighboring areas, who had been without electricity for over 34 hours, called the police and an emergency team from DTEK. People suspected that the disconnections were not caused by technical problems but were the result of an individual's actions.
The Human Factor in Disconnections
According to local media, it became known that a stranger had access to the transformer station. It turned out that the lock on the equipment was not installed, and the man independently intervened in the network's operation, turning off electricity in different parts of the city at his own discretion.
Local residents emphasize that uneven power outages began as early as November 5. While some streets remained without electricity for hours, others hardly felt any changes.
Relations with REM Employees
People claim that the stranger who intervened in the transformer’s operation allegedly had connections with the employees of the district power networks (REM) and received a 'secret agreement' to control electricity consumption.
Response from Emergency Services
The emergency team that arrived at the scene recorded disconnections due to overvoltage caused by constant manipulations. After checking, the transformer was locked, but full restoration of power supply for some streets occurred only on Monday.
Recall that a similar situation occurred in Dnipro, where residents faced problems due to energy company workers who carried out planned power outages.
This incident in Pavlohrad caused outrage among residents who demand accountability for the actions of the outsider who illegally intervened in the operation of power grids. Such cases emphasize the importance of adhering to safety in critical infrastructures to prevent similar situations in the future.
